PROJECT ENERGY
Energize the world, one step at a time
Harvesting energy through the use of an ACL prevention and protection brace.

OVERVIEW
In today’s society, there is a high demand for energy. One type of energy we plan to focus on, in particular, is that of a human’s. With every step we take, humans expel energy which has the potential to be harvested. The motion at the knee serves as kinetic energy which can be transformed and stored as electrical energy. Given society’s demand for new, innovative, and efficient methods of energy collecting, it is possible that we will be able to recycle our own expended energy. Providing the population with such an easily accessible method for energy collection could provide a solution to the negative impacts in which current, non-renewable sources of energy, such as coal, have on the environment.
